Songster Member Meeting-November 20, 2025, John Sloper called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. in the auditorium before our rehearsal. The Secretary's Report was read and approved. The Treasurer's Report was given. At this time our checking account has approximately $14,000. We need $5,000-$8,000 to put on a concert. We pay our director, accompanist, sound tech, drummer and added instrumentation to enhance our music. Our fundraiser will help us defray costs that come up between concerts. The Treasurer's report was approved as read after some discussion. Cindy Daniels, Wardrobe Committee member, went through the attire to wear for the concert: Men: White long-sleeve button dress shirt, black dress pants, black socks, dress shoes and black coat. A blue tie will be handed out Friday, December 5 at rehearsal. Women: black dress slacks, long black skirt or palazzo pants. Black hose and black closed toe shoes. Small Silver jewelry accessories. The Blue blouse will be handed out on Friday, December 5 at rehearsal. Any questions, talk with Cindy, Marcy, or Karen. Nominations for Officers for the 2026-27 terms. The ballot consists of VP/Pres. (2025-26) Paul Meiners, VP (2026) Bill Blewster, Secretary (2026-27) Mike Boes. Nominations were opened from the floor. Seeing no other nominations were given, Cheri Goforth moved to accept the slate of officers and cast a unanimous ballot for the members on the ballot. Cindy Daniels seconded the motion. The motion carried. Tree Lighting is Monday, December 1 at 5 p.m. in the auditorium. Songster members should be in our seats at 4:15 to warm-up. Dress in Christmas attire and have your music for Deo and Brazilian Christmas Carol. Mike Roderick is singing a solo and we are leading the Christmas sing-along. Tickets for our fundraiser will be handed out before our concert. Every member will be given a certain number of tickets to sell. The Christmas Party is Saturday, December 13. at 5 p.m. here in the auditorium. Please have your reservations in to Candace Cook or Sandy Weins by Friday, December 5th.
